Gilles Deleuze and Pierre-Félix Guattari pioneered the concept of schizoanalysis, a critical practice and social analysis that centres schizophrenic ways of looking at ideas. Central to their thinking is the concept of the rhizome, a nonlinear, nonhierarchical way of organising ideas that allows topics to be viewed in a complex, chaotic and multiplicitous way rather than as a simple tree of ideas. This talk explores and plays with the idea of the rhizome, providing examples and using it as a lens through which to view various plurality-related topics.
