Among the most visible trans plurals today, Joy, Alli, Eliza, Josh, Z, Petra et al (the Redwoods) came out as multiple in 2012 and in 2016 protested Split online. From 2017-2020 they spoke to thousands at venues like UCLA School of Medicine and Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, and millions more via interviews on BBC Radio and YouTube. Redwoods founded Mask Oakland, a wildfire smoke relief non-profit, leading to many interviews and the first-ever use of "plural activist" in news media.
